At 3 years old, Addie Kidwell, moved from Palo Pinto County to Weatherford in Parker County with her parents and siblings. They then moved to Young County in 1904. She married William Norman in 1912 and is listed with him in the 1920 census in Graham, Young Co., TX. There were no children listed with them in the 1920 census, but by the 1940 census in Graham, they have William Norman, Jr. age 14 listed with them.

William Norman died 16 July 1946 and is buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Graham, TX. Addie married Frank M. Shipley in 1948 and he also preceded her in death. She moved from Graham to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1962 where she was near her son, William Dillard Norman, Jr., her two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
