Cemetery listings.

There were two volumes of cemetery records compiled by Grace Gilbert Smith; 1002 N.W. 7th Avenue; Mineral Wells, TX 76067.  In the volumes she gives credit to those who actually walked the cemeteries in this way:

"I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to the many people who have helped  to make this book possible.  Many have spent hours copying the headstones in many of the cemeteries.

Many thanks to Ruth Phillips, Mrs. W. T. Hendrick, Web J. Lockwood, Louise Holland, Oma Bostick, Bobby Watson, Mammie George Martin, Ruth Lemons, Mrs. J. E. Slimmons, Ruth Yeager Stoker, Clara Cantrell Buzbee, Irene Gilbert Tuggle, Kay Ashby, Vicki Lynn Gilbert, Herman and Camie Douglas, Weldon I. Hudson, Jimmie Flo McSpadden, Connie Costello, Estes Weldon, Hugh and Hazel Magers, Albert Simmons, Helen Nicks, Lorene Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Harvel Pitman, Ruby Dyer Finch, Bobbie Derr, Web Spear, M. B. Lock, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Speer, D. C. Harris, W. Ira Scudder, Mrs. Jack Medders, Pearl Hutchinson, Frost Bowman, Bill Gross, Mrs. Henry Sikes, Calvin J. Smith, and Helen Crawford.

A special thanks to Allen Ramsey for taking the census on many small cemeteries that are located in the ranches.

Without the help of these people this book could not have been made."

It is with great pride that many of these cemeteries are shown on the Palo Pinto Co., TXGenWeb.  These cemetery listings are for the free use of those doing genealogical and historical research in Palo Pinto Co. and any attempt at commercial use is hereby rejected.  These cemetery listings were found by Larry McQueary at the Weatherford Library and every attempt was made to reach Grace Gilbert Smith.  It is hoped she will support the free use of these listings here.  Should I hear from her, and at her request, these cemetery listings will be immediately taken down.  I would like to express my gratitude to the many who helped with these volumes.
