Brierton or Panama Cemetery

"The Brierton or Panama Cemetery is located west of Santo, Texas where there was once a coal mine.  About 25 graves can be located.  More than 300 are buried there.  It is in bad condition and most markers are not legible.  There was a settlement called Panama and when the mine closed the people left.  The mine was closed in the early nineteen hundreds.  There are a few markers that can be read - Clara Buzbee and Ruth Philips read the stones in 1976."
